ALL SOULS DAY

Monday 2 November 2020

Requiem Mass at 19.30.

The names of those who have died over the last year will be read out and there will be a time of silence for people to pray for others who have died.  This change to normal practice is made in the light of guidance at the current time. The service is open to worshippers in church, but will also be live-streamed on our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/StJohnsHorninglow

You can also view the Mass on YouTube later by clicking here.

See you on Sunday!

CHURCH REOPENING

The extra restrictions placed on Horninglow and some other areas of Burton concerning worship have been relaxed.  We have re-started worship in church on Sundays at the 10 am Service and on Wednesdays at the 9.30 am Mass.

Members of the congregation must maintain social distancing. Alternate rows of pews are taped off.  Family bubbles may arrive and sit together, but must avoid the usual mingling with other worshippers.  People should wear masks unless they have a certified exemption or are conducting a part of the service

On Sunday mornings, to make sure that we do not exceed capacity, it would help if you inform the Parish Administrator, Sue Oakes on 512539 or  administrator@stjohnshorninglow.org.uk

Booking is not required for Wednesday Services.

If you are over 70 years old you need to be aware that you are at more risk through infection from Covid-19 than younger people.

Sunday services will continue to be broadcast live at 10am on Facebook and available from 11.00 on YouTube.

STEWARDSHIP THANK YOU

Stewardship covers time, talents and money. We thank you most sincerely for your giving of any or all of these – an act of thanksgiving to God - during 2019.

Please review what you can offer in terms of your time and talents and tell the vicar,  email freeman.burton@googlemail.com  or phone 01283 568613.

Review your giving in a thoughtful, prayerful way now and resolve to put more money in your envelope or, better still, your direct debit or standing order payment. If you haven’t given before, but want to, please contact Richard Dean for information on where to send your direct debit or to be sent a Gift Aid envelope for your offering. Use the email administrator@stjohnshorninglow.org.uk or phone 01283 813934 to contact him.
